A Glorious end to Goodwood

It has been a brilliant few weeks at West Ilsley, with winners coming thick and fast through July and into Goodwood week.

Innichen got things rolling with a dominant win at Nottingham on 2nd July, making it back-to-back victories for the exciting two-year-old, before running another great race at Goodwood later in the month

Topaz had been knocking on the door and it was great to see her get the win she deserved at Salisbury for her owners Highclere Racing. The evening of 23rd July then brought a double for the team, with Sunshine And Roses coming home strongly at Wolverhampton and Gran Ventura powering clear by over three lengths on her first start for the team at Southwell.

Berlinetta and Sugar Sugar kept the momentum going at the end of the month, both getting off the mark under George Bass for owners Opulence Thoroughbreds.

And then came Goodwood. Crest Of Fire saved the best for last, getting his head down in the closing stages to land the final race of the Festival under Tom Marquand and signed off the meeting in style. Congratulations to all our owners across a fantastic few weeks for the yard.

Attention now turns to an exciting few weeks ahead. The yearling sales are just around the corner, where Jack and the team will be searching for the next generation of West Ilsley stars, while on the track the York Ebor Festival promises another big opportunity for the yard to add to what has been a memorable season so far.
