August: From the Track to the Sales Ring

It has been a busy August at West Ilsley, both on the track and at the yearling sales, with winners to celebrate and some exciting new additions to look forward to.

Crest Of Fire started the month in style, winning on the closing day of Glorious Goodwood to continue what has been a fantastic season for him. Two-year-old filly, Wondervision then broke her maiden at Wolverhampton under George Bass for the Bramble Syndicate.

Topaz ran another brilliant race to finish a gallant third in the £200,000 Tattersalls Somerville Auction Stakes at Newmarket for Highclere Racing, continuing to prove herself one of our most exciting juveniles.

The month ended on a high with a double, as Galyx got back in the winner's circle at Beverley in the Silver Cup Handicap under George Bass for owner-breeders Jon and Julia Aisbitt, and Withtearsinmyeyes produced a dominant display at Ffos Las under David Probert to record a thoroughly deserved first career success.

Away from the track, Jack has been busy at the yearling sales, making three exciting new purchases at the Goffs Premier Yearling Sale,  the same sale where Group 3 Fred Darling winner Sukanya was bought. You can find out more here.
