Queen All Star Extends Reign with Class 2 Victory

Progressive filly Queen All Star continued her upward trajectory on Friday the 25th of April, producing another strong performance to land the bet365 Class 2 Handicap and improve her record to three wins from four starts.

Having already claimed two novice wins, the daughter of Holy Roman Emperor took the rise in class in her stride, confirming she remains well-handicapped. Drawn widest of all once again jockey Silvestre de Sousa took to the outer throughout the race, pressing on from the rear inside the last 3 furlongs, where the filly kept on inside the final furlong to win by half a length.

When interviewed at the races Jack commented;

‘’Queen All Star is a lovely filly. We thought she was nice last year, but it's from two to three that she has really thrived. Her work in the spring really surprised us, she's been working really smartly. We expected her to win her maiden but it was hard next time giving away weight to some nice colts. We were very sweet coming into today, her work has been pretty good. We were going to run her in a Listed race at Bath at the weekend but the ground was a bit quick so we decided to wait for today. I will speak to Mr Jaber Abdullah but I'm sure black type will be on the horizon although I wouldn't mind taking in a nice handicap at Royal Ascot beforehand.’’

With this latest victory, Queen All Star continues to justify the high hopes of her connections. Whether heading to Royal Ascot or stepping straight into black type company, she is one to keep firmly on the radar this season.
